This program is a 300 hour, continuing education program that offers participants the opportunity to learn and practice the critical leadership skills and competencies necessary to effectively meet the complex demands of the 21st century public service environment. It is taught by University of Baltimore faculty and practitioners and organized around seven core competencies. Together with the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights, the Schaefer Center offers the Maryland Equity and Inclusion Leadership Program. Download a PDF brochure. Through interactive presentations and activities, the program aims to engage, educate, and support current and emerging leaders to develop diversity-based initiatives within their respective organizations.
Other long-running professional development programs led by the Schaefer Center include the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Fellows Program, the Managing for Results program, the Baltimore City and Baltimore County Election Judge training programs, and the Maryland State Highway strategic management program.
