The Schaefer Center and the Baltimore Mayor’s Office of Safety and Neighborhood Engagement have partnered to provide a training program to Baltimore’s Safe Streets leaders, staff, and community partners that will offer a unique continued learning and professional development opportunity. This program is designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and practice of conflict management and resolution, including violence prevention and intervention, at various levels, specifically in the urban context.

Program Overview:

The ten-day in-person Urban Conflict Manager Program is organized around five modules or key areas of learning:

Module 1: Cultivating Your Identity as an Urban Conflict Manager

Module 2: Developing Yourself as an Urban Conflict Manager

Module 3: Engaging with Others as an Urban Conflict Manager

Module 4: Navigating Your Work as an Urban Conflict Manager in Context 

Module 5: Becoming an Urban Conflict Manager in Practice
